Registered Massage Therapy
Registered Massage Therapy is the treatment of various musculoskeletal injuries by a licensed practitioner through the use of techniques including but not limited to: deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and muscle energy techniques. Massage Therapy is known to alleviate stress and improve overall health and helps to relieve soft tissue discomfort as an integral part of your healthcare maintenance plan.
Physiotherapy
Assessment, diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of injuries/conditions including but not limited to: musculoskeletal injuries, tendon injuries, pre and post-operative symptoms, posture and associated symptoms. During your session, your Physiotherapist will provide you with a detailed breakdown of your condition, an explanation of potential causes as well as solutions for future injury prevention. The goal of Physiotherapy is to optimize your performance in all the activities in which you participate.
Vestibular Therapy
Vestibular Therapy for those suffering with Vertigo or other Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) type conditions.
Kinesiology
Kinesiologists collaborate with supervising Physiotherapists to provide clients with detailed programming that addresses range of motion, strength, muscle activation, posture corrections and endurance through evidence-based treatment and exercises. Kinesiologists work with you in a 1-to-1 capacity to ensure that you have thorough guidance and proper technique throughout the entire rehabilitation process.
BikeFIT Analysis
Ergonomic assessment of cycling components and how they affect biomechanics. From assessing problem areas, adjusting components to minimize injury and improve performance. Additionally, recommendations regarding areas of focus for strength and conditioning specifically for cyclists.
Running Biomechanics Analysis
Observation and assessment of running gait in runners of all levels. Identification of problem areas and potential injury risks as well as providing solutions for improving: endurance, speed, conditioning and general programming for training of all distances.
Student Intern Massage (Non-RMT)
Body Massage (Bodywork) or Relaxation Massages are offered by our Student Interns who are currently enrolled in an accredited RMT program or have recently graduated and are awaiting their BC Board Registration Exams. While this service is not eligible for claims to Extended Health Benefits or ICBC / WCB claims, they are great options for those who are self-employed or do not have extended health benefits or have run out of their annual RMT coverage.
